But what if Royce’s lines were inspired by a little bit of jealousy ? Didn’t he get a little bitter when Obie Trice and 50 Cent were signed to Shady Records ?
This is Proof’s comment about Royce which seems to confirm the involvement of some jealousy in the conflict that opposes him to Eminem and D12 :
"First and foremost, I knew Royce, before Em knew Royce...He went on a quest to find Em, and that's the flat out truth. He knew Eminem was gonna have a deal and he did what he had to do to try to get somewhere and that's the bottom line. Me and Em is fifteen years deep, and I can't tell Em not to sign 50 Cent, I can't tell Em not to sign Obie Trice, I can't tell Em not to befriend Royce. That ain't my call."
Proof also points out that his crew never started the beef:
"He's saying we started it but it's all in his statement and he's covering it up with lies. How can we start the beef when he made the first diss three years ago? Come on now... That don't even make sense, then he said that I called his house clicking guns on the phone. Dude is lyin', I don't even know his phone number! The truth of the matter is that he knows that he called my voicemail and my voicemail got me on there clicking hammers and sh!t, so he tried to reverse it on some bullshit. That nigga need to grow the fuck up!"
In an interview, Royce declared that D12 « was ruining rap and that they were the worst rap group ever. »
At 50 Cent’s release party in Detroit, D12 released a free mixtape that was aimed at hardcore fans (that is- by the way- worth listening to). The first track of the D12 mixtape is called « Smackdown » and used 50 Cent’s tracks from « Backdown ». It is a full diss against Royce. Eminem didn’t appear on the tape, though. Only the 5 other members are dissing him.
Having a long term friendship with Eminem, didn’t he wish, even secretly, to be part of the Shady Rexords team ?
It seems like Royce has much more a problem with the D12 crew than with Eminem himself.
He started dissing Bizarre in response to a diss track written by Bizarre towards him on the DJ Butter mixtape’s track called « Don’t Try This at Home ».
Royce retaliated with a diss mainly aimed at Bizarre called « Shit On You ». This diss was never released, obviously because Royce’s first intentions were not to beef publicly with D12.
Royce retaliated with 3 disstracks aimed at d12. They are called « Malcolm X », « What We Do », « We Riding », « We Riding » being directly aimed at Marshall. At this moment, Royce turned his back to eminem and his crew and was even thinking about further collaboration with the enemy camp from Murder Inc.
According to Emineminfo.com, the beef between Eminem, D12 and Royce has been squashed recently :

Hopefully they might be right about it.
How Benzino's worthless "war" against Eminem started
Benzino, a talentless so called rapper
What should we think of a man who once praised Eminem as the best rapper and who changed his mind just to launch his career as an untalented MC with no skills ?
This is how Benzino expressed about Eminem a few years ago. Being asked if he thought Marshall Mathers was the best white MC ever, he answered :
« I would have to say yeah, no doubt. But cats like Jo Jo Pellegrino are kinda nice too. I like his lyrics, I'm not gonna front. »
And those are the words he stated when he changed his mind :
"We come from the same neighborhood and he ain't got no street credibility. He ain't no gangsta or soldier. He was in the basement practicing his skills while the real world was going on outside. He's catching these bullshit cases. Smacking up John Guerra, the one who was kissing his wife, with an unloaded gun. In the song, Eminem's saying that he's 6'2" and that ain't the case. John Guerra is 5'4" or 5'2". What kind of tough guy are you?"
Eminem no street credibility ? That’s so funny coming from a fake gangsta wannabe such as Benzino. Eminem has been beaten up as a kid and shoot at when he was a teenager :
"I was walking home from my boy's house, through the Bel-Air Shopping Center. All these black dudes rode by in a car, flippin' me off. I flipped them off back, they drove away, and I didn't think nothin' of it. Evidently they parked the car. One dude came up, hit me in the face and knocked me down. Then he pulled out a gun. I ran right out my shoes, dog. I thought that's what they wanted."
In fact Eminem was wrong. Those guys didn’t want his shoes. Next day, the shoes had been left at the same place.
"That's how I knew it was racial."
Eminem was saved by a white guy who threatened those guys with a gun and drove him home.
Debbie recalls :
"He came in wearing just his socks and underwear. They had taken his jogging suit off him, taken his boombox. They would have taken him out, too."
He seems to forget that he used to live across 8 Mile and that life in the black neighborhood was much more than risky for a white man and his family.
Benzino ignited the war between him and Eminem by calling the talented rapper «Vanilla Ice 2003».
In a track called « Pull Your Skirt Up », he started dissing Eminem :
"Five shades darker, you'd be Canibus/ And no one would care about your complicated rhyme style/ ... What you know about pumpin' on the block 'til you freeze?/ What you know about cutting up rocks, duckin' [detectives]?/ What you know about facing a grand jury indictment?/ As far as I'm concerned, you're just industry excitement."
Has Benzino suddenly become jealous of the best MC or did he need some publicity from the music industry ? Probably both. In his diss track he admits Eminem ‘s complicated rhyme style and he seems to be enraged, because -deep inside- he perfectly knows he will never be at Eminem’s level. It is laughable, Benzino has no skills, plus there are millions of annoying party rappers like him with the same style. The man lacks originality and has proven to be a perfect dumbass. But this wasn’t enough for Benzino who is so full of himself that he isn’t afraid at all of looking ridiculous in front of the world.
Benzino had no real arguments against Eminem, so he choose to attack him on his skin color and to says stupid things about Hailie. He said he intented to kill Marshall and to rape and kill Hailie( whose name he is unable to spell).
Eminem’s response to Benzino’s diss tracks were « I don’t wanna » and « Nail In The Coffin ». Both lyrics have been reunited in the well known « Nail In The Coffin song » where Eminem verbally kills Benzino. « The Sauce » is also another diss against the Source magazine.
Benzino aka Raymond Scott aka Raydog has also proven he’s phoney. When he met Obie Trice in PuertoRico, he shook his hands and congratulated him on « Rap Name ». Eminem is making fun of it in « Nail In The Coffin ».
Obie Trice talks about his encounter with Benzino :
« The thing with Benzino, I seen him in Puerto Rico and he gave it up to me because I made "Fat Tape" in The Source that month. It was a big thing for me, and I was excited, I grew up on that. So to see "Rap Name" on "Fat Tape" I thought it was dope, so I seen him in the lobby of the hotel and he shook my hand like, "Yeah, I got you! Dawg, you tight, nigga!" Ya know, he's shaking my hand, looking me in the eyes telling me that stuff, but if I was a busta, he should have played me like one right then, face to face. So I only think there's a few real cats out here man, that's why I don't be trying to meet these cats, I keep to myself, my family and my crew. These cats ain't real. »
As 50 Cent said it so well, Benzino is trying to get some attention. He’s a bad rapper with no talent.
"The situation with Eminem and Benzino, and that's not beef. That's a person just trying to get attention, you know what I mean, 'cause they never had any altercations or any run-ins or anything. So I'm, like, 'That's corny.'"
"If he had a beef, I'd probably be in the middle of it--a real situation, you know what I mean--but that ain't nothing. It's obvious he's taking the shot to try and get on, you know what I mean?"
You may not like Eminem and you have the right to. But you should be clever enough to see Benzino is trying to manipulate people’s minds against Eminem. His mic rating is also far from being honest. Check this article out :
http://www.sohh.com/article_print.php?content_ID=4164
Frankly, I wish more people could open their eyes about Raymond Scott and Dave Mays’ hypocrisy. I’m disappointed when people are telling me that Eminem is a racist and that he’s making money on black people’s back.
Unfortunately, Eminem has made a mistake in his past and dissed black women on a tape. It is not so much important to know if this tape is from 1988 or 1993. Matter of fact , it is older than a decade. When Eminem released it, he was even encouraged by Blacks to do it. He did it out of anger because he had dumped his black girlfriend. Believe me, if he was such a racist, he wouldn’t have dated a black woman at a time of high racial tensions in Detroit. Eminem regrets it and apologized. Now we seriously need to turn the page. The mistake is regrettable, but it doesn’t correspond to the way Marshall considers black people.
Eminem has helped people from different conditions and origins to access hip hop and his audience is universal. But we shouldn’t forget that his main audience was black when he began emceeing in Detroit. Anybody who focuses a real interest on Eminem will be brought back to his roots and -by extension- to black people.
I’m also getting tired of people telling me all the time : « just because Eminem hang out with a few Blacks doesn’t mean he’s not a racist ». No, people ! You are wrong ! Eminem grew up on the black side of Detroit. He used to live among Blacks and has shared so much with them. He’s been signed by a black producer. Now that he’s wealthy and famous, his best friends are still the same black men he used to rap with when he was underground. He never forgot his fellows from the D12 crew. And people signed to Shady/Aftermath are black. I have said it many times, but I consider that things need to be put perfectly clear : Eminem shows love and concern towards black people, he feels next to them and even wished he was born black. He has proven his love and concern in his interviews and songs.
Don’t believe what both big racists Dave Mays( who needs hip hop music to respect black people) and Benzino( who encouraged another white MC to use the N word) to destroy the career a talented MC struggled so hard for.
How Ja Rule started problems with Eminem
Ja Rule started problems with Eminem and the Shady camp when 50 Cent got signed to Shady Records.
Both men – 50 Cent and Ja Rule- have fought against each other physically and their feud goes back to several years ago. 50 Cent has punched Ja Rule and Ja and his crew have stabbed 50 Cent.
When 50 Cent was signed to Shady Records, Ja Rule stated that if they allowed 50 Cent to diss him or Murder Inc, he’d take action against Marshall Mathers and his producer.
First targetting 50 Cent on 'A Warrior's Words', the Murder Inc.'s Black Child mixtape, Ja Rule replied to Eminem’s diss track “Go To Sleep” where Eminem warns him with "Ja, you'll get it too".
Reponding to 50 Cent, he said: “What kind of world is this when a snitch gets praise?" and then addressing to Eminem with the intention to threaten him: "I'm hunting ya blondie..."
"Em you know you fear me/ 'Cause I'm clearly the rap game's Jimmy Hoffa".
When 50 Cent released a track combining Tupac’s vocals with his own voice called “The Realest Killaz” in which he attacks “Ja Rule’s obsession with Tupac”.
50 Cent has also been dissed in many other Irv Gotti tracks. 50 Cent made fun of Ja Rule so many times lyrically but his funniest retaliation is the “Wanska” video where a Ja Rule puppet lands in the trash.
Ja Rule expressed about his beef with 50 Cent and Shady Aftermath:
"It's really nothing to handle because these guys don't really want beef, they just want to talk about me and sell records. If they see me, they're gonna go the other way and keep talking about me and selling records. If I see them, I'm gonna approach them and ask them what's the problem. That's the difference. Well, not just ask, but you know."
This statement cannot be taken seriously. Who would take Ja Rule seriously as a gangsta? His Murder Inc compagny may be surrounded by some dangerous people who are paid by Murder Inc to kill people, but Ja Rule himself a gangsta ? That’s laughable.
When I express my dislike of Ja Rule, many people keep telling me « You dislike Ja Rule, just because he hates 50 Cent and Slim Shady. »
Let me prove you wrong. Long before Ja Rule started beefing with Shady/ Aftermath, I didn’t like the artist and I even despised him. Why ?
Because his music is supposed to be hip hop and doesn’t sound like hip hop. It sounds much more like RNB and the subject matter is all about women. In my opinion, Ja Rule lacks originality.
To me, he is a gangsta wannabe who wants to be taken as Tupac’s successor which is ridiculous.
Ja Rule made fun of Eminem calling him « Feminem », which ain’t original at all, hi predecessors fellow Eminem haters did it before and added :
Black pain / but you could become the first white rapper slain / just get your money man / the Inc. is running thangs; you hiding out with loose change."
Eminem’s whole life story proves Ja Rule wrong. Eminem perfectly knows black people’s pain, he shared their lives and sorrows and he always whowed his love for hip hop culture.
Ja even hits below the belt, making fun of Eminem's daughter:
"Em you claim your mothers a crackhead and Kim is a known slut/ so what's Hailie gonna be when she grows up?"
Ja Rule’s lyrics are grammatically weak and i don’t see what else he could oppose to the Shady camp but his jealousy.
And a big expression of his jealousy and his weakness was totally exposed when he dared dissing Eminem’s daughter.
But Hailie got her revenge, thanks her father’s diss track against Ja Rule where he ironically uses Ja’s sentence to make him look ridiculous. Hailie’s contribution in « Do Rae Me » is also a plus.
Some of Eminem’s enemies are real cowards who are too weak artistically and lyrically that they have nothing better to do than attacking an innocent child (it must be really hard for a 8 years old child to be handled like this by people who hate her simply because she’s Eminem’s daughter). Eminem never disrespected Ja Rule’s kids. Eminem has the courage to attack his enemies directly, he is not afraid to fight them. His weak opponents like Ja Rule and others made fools of themselves with their demeaning words against Hailie Jade, being unable to fight like « real men ».
The track « Shit Hits The Fan » from Obie Trice’s album « Cheers » featuring Eminem and Dr Dre has definitly killed Ja Rule lyrically : it made Ja Rule look like Ja Fool. Not only the Shady Camp, but also rappers DmX and Busta Rhymes took position against Ja Rule.
Besides Benzino and Irv Gotti, Ja Rule seems to have lost a lot of respect and influence in the hip hop community.
I hate you, Ja Rule for dissing a little 8 years old girl. Marshall never dissed your own kids. Fuck you!!! I couldn't resist to the pleasure of dissing you.
Fellow fans, this is my diss aimed at Ja:
Your lyrics are whack
Prolly intelligence lack
Since when does a fool
Rule?
Ja Drool
Ja Fool
Ya ain’t cool
Yea your lyrics do stink
And yea you should sing with Pink
Wanna dis Hailie?
You’re more idiotic than Bailey.
On my body and soul I swear
Don’t touch Marshall
Or I’ll shoot you dead
Right in the head
You look queer
You gonna ruin ur fucking career
U ain’t no G
You’d better make some RNB
You’ll never win
With your evil grin
You appear on stage half drunk
That’s how you respect your fan
Don’t mess with Shady my man
Cuz ur a charlatan
Don’t think you’ll trial
We’ll come to your burial
On your coffin we’ll spit
You lil peace of shit
You spend your whole time
Digging Ashanti’s pussy
Instead of writing a rhyme
Ain’t this shitty
Fucking sissy
U ain’t no G
You’re a minus
Against a genius
What you gonna do
With your fucking ho
Against Em,50 and Obie
Let me see
Fake gangsta
We’d rather call ya a wanksta
You have no skills
You’d better take a bunch of pills
And end your life 4 good
For the greatest joy of the hood!
Eminem vs Cage
How many whack and average artists have accused Eminem to have copied their style or rhymes? Well, if Eminem was actually inspired by some of you and took some of your whack or average work to make it look brilliant, that makes him appear much more than a genius in the public’s eyes.
Underground rapper Cage from New York belongs to those emcees who claim that Eminem copied their rhymes and their style.
Their beef goes back to the release of the Slim Shady EP in 1998. At this time, Cage accused Eminem to copy his rhymes and his style, which has been denied by Eminem. Cage gets dissed in the song “Role Model” from the Slim Shady LP, where Eminem says: “Bought Cage’s tape, opened it and dubbed over it.”
Eminem also disses Cage in a freestyle called “Drastic Measures”:
“Are you afraid of a blade made of a razor wit AIDS
Blood dripping from it
Ripping your stomach up from the waist up
You talk a lot of junk, but you was never ill though
I'm strong enough to beat you to death with a feather pillow
Tipped over some cows, just for a joke and a laugh
Jumped up choked a giraffe
Snapped its neck and broke it in half
Waging wars
Went on stage and sprayed Cage wit Agent Orange
And wiped my ass wit his page in Source
The demon is here, i'm steaming this year
I rip Mystikal's voice box out, and scream in his ear
It's not a gimmick trick, it's an image I live it
Give a damn? I don't know what a damn is to give it
Man I don't think this guy is well, I'm high as hell
I beat you with a live cat while I'm swinging him by his tail
I'll freakin', I'll freakin'
Lay your nuts on the dresser, just your nut sack by itself
And bang them stuffs wit a spiked bat
Cut your neck off, and glue your head right back, and leave you like that
You just triggered the prick who mixed liquor
Who's itching to leave you disfigured
And stiffer than Chris "Stiffer" Reeves
I was teething with strep throat when your mother was breast feeding
And gave her the flesh eating disease
I'm iller than taking a hammer and beating your knees
And walking through South Central L.A. bleeding in jeans
Flash you back to being shot and repeating the scene
On how you just got smoked
And if you do live
You'll be too scared to tell it, like a Biggie and Pac joke
Did my best to edit in the curses
In these verses
When it dispurses...”
Despite the fact both emcees despise each other, Eminem and Cage have something in common: both are abused children. The article “Rage In The Cage” will give you further information about the underground emcee:
http://music.ign.com/articles/424/424016p1.html?fromint=1
Cage calls Eminem’s rhymes "Tired rhyme styles from Detroit, Michigan".
Cage justifies his retaliation against Eminem this way: "It started because he is a bitch ass nigga! Right now it stands with me kicking in his fucking face, real horrorshow, I ain’t lettin’ all the shit he said slide."
Here are some lines written by Cage that are directly aimed at Marshall and at his alter egos:
“ I heard some blonde bitch walking through New York looking for Cage, I'll stab you in the face, ten times in the same place. Lace your little infant 'til you thinking different, When in the same building on the street lift you off your feet. The illest four letter word in the world, supporter, Rhyme slaughter, the listener to death save the gun for the Blonde Ambition, fell off the Christian wagon. Your systems saggin biting my shit and I'm laughing, I can freak simple shit and sell records but I don't. I write the illest shit that cause fans to enter bitin' zones, Keep your guards by your guard you showing cards on the low. See a man gotta deal, now y'all look just like 'Cro (Necro), all you schizophrenics need help with reality. Kill your two little personalities, shark getting snuck a salary, Observe gravity pullin ya in to earth gradually. You'll see you need a style I create to try and battle me...”
Cage, who despises Slim Shady calls Eminem’s alter ego “Censored Lady”. He also created a Dr Dre diss called “Still Cage” which is supposed to be a parody of “Still Dre”.
Since the beginning of his career, Eminem has caused a lot of envy and jealousy in the world of hip hop. Because he is incredibly gifted for rap and because he handles words like nobody, many emcees would like to be rap like him.
Why not try to improve your style and work a lot harder instead of picking on the best MC?
Eminem vs Moby
It is no secret for anybody that Eminem doesn’t like Moby at all. Not only that he doesn’t like his music, but he can’t stand Moby as a person either.
When Eminem doesn’t like somebody, he has the honesty to express it publicly, which is a rare thing in the music industry.
That’s what he expressed in an interview with Radio 1 :
"I don't give a fuck who gets mad at me, I hate techno music, I'm sorry but I can't stand it. Like, when I used to be on drugs it used to blow my high and like now that I can't be on drugs it blows my high even worse. So just for the record, I hate techno music, so no matter how good Moby is, it's not going to change anything."
The feud between Eminem and Moby began when Moby expressed about the talented rapper at the 2001 Grammys and spoke out against his lyrics :
« The weird thing is that I actually do think that Eminem has skills as an MC, but it disturbs me that he glorifies homophobia and misogyny in his songs, especially seeing as his listeners are, for the most part, very impressionable 10-year-old boys. "I won't be dissing him back (given the fact that my skills as an MC are terrible), ... but I will say, as I said before, that musicians need to assume a certain artistic responsibility when their fanbase is very, very young.
"From my perspective, any music that glorifies abuse, misogyny, homophobia or racism is disturbing, but especially so when it's targeted to a fanbase of 10-year-old boys. If you're reading this, Eminem, thanks for the dis. No hard feelings from me. "
Of course Eminem has skills as an MC, but his lyrics need to be understood. Eminem listeners are not only 10 year old boys. In fact, Eminem’s audience is composed of various people from different social classes. Moby has certainly read Eminem’s lyrics, but he didn’t get their hidden sense. His words belong to typical stereotypes I’m fighting against.
And what probably angered Eminem is the fact that Moby brought back all those stereotypes which are due to a total misunderstanding of the artist.
Eminem retaliated against Moby in his well known and appreciated song « Without Me » :
"And Moby? You can get stomped by Obie
You thirty-six year old baldheaded fag, blow me
You don't know me, you're too old, let go
It's over, nobody listens to techno"
And when Eminem interprets the song on stage, Moby gets “killed”. Or should I say: a Moby impersonator gets symbollically “killed” on stage while he flows in the air as a spaceman, to the greatest delight of the fans.
At the 2002 VMA Awards, Eminem won 4 awards all for “Without Me”:
-Best Video Of The Year - Without Me
-Best Male Video - Without Me
-Best Rap Video - Without Me
-Best Direction In A Video - Without Me (Director: Joseph Kahn)
Mtv’s pupeeter of Insult Comic Dog, Robert Smigel's words against Eminem while sitting next to Moby were more than provocative:
[Eminem] should lighten up... I mean, my mom was a bitch too, but I don't go writing songs about it. –Triumph
Moby was afraid for the safety of the puppet more than of his own safety when Eminem reacted badly and that actually sounds funny:
''I was more concerned for Triumph's well-being. If Eminem wants to pick on someone, fine, pick on me, but don't diss the dog-puppet. Triumph the dog-puppet is my hero. That's the sole reason that I went to the VMAs. 'Cos I love that little dog-puppet.''
Eminem reacted badly against Moby, calling him a lady and flipping the bird. In fact, the incident occured not because Eminem is deprived of any sense of humor, but because he had no idea of who Triumph was. Nobody had told him about what was going on, so Eminem thought the puppet was fabricated by Moby. Mr Smigel thought that his intervention would have a funny effect:
"They paired me with Moby, and I was like, 'If I do Moby, it would be great to go from him to Eminem, since Eminem hates Moby.' And they're like, 'Great, great, we'll set you and Moby down near Eminem right before the bit. And I'm like, 'O.K., are you going to tell Eminem?'"
"'Ahhhh, he's got a great sense of humor. He's going to love it. Eminem, he's funny!' And, of course, he had no idea who Triumph was. He thought I was some puppet Moby had fashioned to torment him."
At the 2003 VMA Awards, Eminem humored the past event while destroying a puppet of the crank yankers.
While he was receiving his” best male award”, Eminem got boeed and he thought Moby was booing him too:
"Sorry, that li'l Moby girl threw me out of my zone for a minute. Keep booing, li'l Moby-girl. I will hit a man with glasses."
He apologized later on while receiving the best video award.
Moby pretends that it is untrue:
"And I do feel the need to clarify one last little point. When Eminem accepted his award I was not booing. Ironically enough, I was clapping because that seemed like the polite thing to do. Everyone around me was booing him, but I was sitting there politely clapping. I don't know why he accused me of booing him, because for what it's worth I certainly was not. Ok, that's it."
Eminem also called Moby a “pussy” and theatened to beat him up:
“The truth is that I honestly, in all sincerity, thought that the whole Eminem thing was done in some semblance of humor until Eminem called me a pussy(that was off camera) and then threatened to beat me up. I think that Eminem is talented and interesting but I'm kind of stunned at the anger that he has for me seeing as I'd never met him up until last night."
Unfortunately, Moby should know that he cannot force Eminem’s sympathy. Like anybody of us, he will always find people who like him or some others who dislike him. His comments on Eminem’s are are pointless, though. As you probably know, Eminem’s lyrics are not to be taken literally.
Moby seems to respect Eminem as an artist, but he doesn’t seem to get his lyrics. But he’s far from the truth when he states some of his fantasies:
“He shoots me on stage, he dresses up like me in the video, talks about having sex with me in his song. I’ve figured it out. He has a crush on me. And at some point he found out that I was straight and he’s so upset and hurt, the fact that he has this unrequited crush on me, that’s why he’s so upset. I'm just waiting for Eminem to come out of the closet."
He is crazy to think Eminem could have a crush on him. Matter of fact: Eminem can’t stand him.
When Moby got attacked at Paradise Club in Boston after a concert, some Eminem fans were suspected, but nobody can prove those people were actually Eminem fans:
"I am hardly the most physically threatening person . If anyone sees me in the next couple of weeks and I have some big bruises or stitches on my face, well at least you know why. I’m not angry, I don’t feel vindictive. I just hope that at some point in these guys’ lives they come to realise that hurting other people is wrong."
If some fans of Marshall are involved, I would describe their behavior as plain stupid. Those are the kind of fans who usually give Eminem a bad name. But still, the rapper is not responsible for his fans crazy behavior if they happen to be involved in the incident.
I do appreciate Eminem for his honesty. He has the sincerity to show when he dislikes a person, which is something rare in a society where hypocrisy is priviledged before honesty. My request towards Marshall Mathers is following :
« Don’t ever change. Keep being yourself. We fans love you for that quality in particular. »
To quote Mr Vontese from Los Angeles about the 2002 MTV Awards:
"Eminem is an outstanding performer who is constantly booed and put down for being real. I was really upset that everyone at the awards loved him one minute and turned on him the next for being himself. Don't follow the crowd. Love him or leave him the fuck alone! Keep being you, Em."
The king of pop's struggle against the king of rap
Michael Jackson doesn’t feel comfortable with Eminem’s brand new video. Because Marshall Mathers dared making fun of the whole « Jackson case »,the king of pop has described it as « inappropriate, insensitive, demeaning and disrespectful ».
Michael Jackson is not the first star to become Eminem’s target: a long time before Marilyn Manson appeared in the « My Name Is » video. Many of you probably remember Eminem disguised as Britney Spears in « The Real Slim Shady » video and making fun of Christina Aguilera at the same time. Moby and Elvis Presley were his « victims » in « Without Me ». Not even terrorist Ossama Ben Laden could escape Eminem…
Last year, in Scotland, Eminem has made fun of Michael Jackson, dangling his second born from a balcony and Michael even found it funny.
Michael Jackson expressed his respect and admiration for Eminem as an artist, but according to his reaction -or should I say overreaction- I really doubt that he has gone deep into Eminem’s artistry. People who have watched Eminem’s videos perfectly know that Marshall has many « victims ».
I think it is more than urgent to state that Eminem makes fun of them just for the show. He intends to give his audience a good laugh, an effect that he usually manages to create very well. Who would Eminem seriously as Elvis sitting on the toilet and swallowing his big sandwich?
So why does Michael Jackson feel that offended?
Probably because the « Just Lose It » video is a confrontation with himself, something that he probably wants to escape from. Michael Jackson has been accused of children abuse several times: Jordan Chandler who is 24 now, pretends that he has been abused sexually by Michael Jackson.
In his book « All That Glitters », Jordan reveals some details about his misadventure.
His uncle confirms:
‘He resented him for having used his power and fame to convince my nephew to do things he wouldn’t have done with anyone else.
‘My nephew, like most kids, was enamoured by those uniforms Michael would wear - little soldier uniforms with epaulettes and things hanging all over him,’ he added. ‘I think that’s where he got the expression “God’s clothes".’
Jordan was terrified to testify in Court and the affair led to a $25 million settlement.
I keep asking myself what would have happened if Michael was facing the same accusations as an average and poor man.
The following website offers an analysis of Jacko’s statements in 1993, after he was facing some molestation charges:
www.statementanalysis.com/jackson/
Things got worse for Michael Jackson when a cancer recovering young boy came up with a new accusation in 2003. The identity of the young boy has been kept secret.
If the statements of the following article are true, Jacko’s personality must be disturbing in some way. Check it out:
www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,11228,00.html
Don’t misinterpret me: I never stated that Michael Jackson is guilty. I really have no idea and I will consider him as guilty if the Court says so.
Eminem has recalled some embarrassing events of Michael Jackson’s past. He has made fun about his molestation charges, which refer to real facts. The scene with the nose was done on purpose too. Michael experienced some real and serious problems with his nose:

Michael’s issues have been made public since a long time and, as far as I am concerned, his reaction in front of « Just lose It » is exaggerated. I think that he has misunderstood the talented rapper’s motivations.
The video is indeed hilarious and Eminem’s intention shouldn’t be misinterpreted. Some people have accused Marshall to make this video just to sell more records. Come on, Marshall is rich enough, he doesn’t need that to make some more money. Marshall is a man who works with passion, he is a 100% involved in what he does and his recent video is brilliant work.
To those who argue that Eminem is so « mean and disrespectful » in « Just Lose It », have you only noticed that Eminem also makes fun of himself and of his movie during the video?
Everybody, including Michael, just chill out: the video is for fun.
Eminem vs Everlast
Don’t mess with Slim Shady unless you wanna get kicked badly and killed lyrically!
Everlast and Eminem have fought against each other in hard lyrical battles that went very personal.
The beef between Eminem and the former “House Of Pain” member started in 1999. Eminem’s words from the song “Just Don’t Give A Fuck” highly offended Everlast, since his name was mentionned:
“I’m Nicer than Pete, but I’m on a Serch to crush a Milkbone / I’m Everlast-ing, I melt Vanilla Ice like silicone…”
Everlast prompted to respond in his “Dilated People” track and made his beef between him and Eminem become very personal, since he mentionned Hailie in a pretty clear allusion:
“Ear Drums Pop (Remix)", saying “Cock my hammer, spit a Comet like Haley / I’ll buck a three-eighty on ones that act shady / I’m original like Grady, check my Sanford, Son / You know you ain’t the one that rep peckerwood status / I’ll bust that ass, keep your eyes on the floor / What you comin here for, son you know the law / Let’s take it back to the house, slide off your blouse / Lift up your skirt and expose your panties / For the world to see, you can’t rep it like me.”
“I Remember” is a former Eminem song that is aimed at Eric Shrody aka Everlast and describes Everlast as a dead rapper who should have died from his recent heart attack:
“I remember back when you had The Knack (had the knack)
And I remember when you had your first heart attack (heart attack)
I was right there laughin when I heard the news (heard the news)
I just wish the cardiac would’a murdered you (would’a murdered you)…”
“I Remember” is fullfilled with sarcasms towards Eric Shrody.
But it is just the beginning of a bitter and personal war of words between both rappers. As the lyrical struggle goes on,
Everlast becomes more and more personal with Eminem.
“Whitey’s Revenge” is a diss track towards Eminem that target Debbie Mathers and that questions Eminem’s fatherhood.
In the introduction, Whitey Ford dedicates the song to Debbie Mathers and questions Eminem’s toughness and his sexuality.
He also accuses him to use the “shock value” of his lyrics for money.
The meanest sentence is probably the following one:
“…and you can’t keep your woman from going astray
better run and check your kid for your DNA…”
Kim’s infidelity is clearly mentionned and Everlast wants to state that Eminem is probably not Hailie’s dad. The next sentence makes fun of Debbie’s lawsuits against Marshall:
“I take care of my moms you get sued by yours…”
The Eminem/Everlast battle entered another round as Eminem released the song “Quitter” with the D12 group.
Marshall never jokes with his love for his daughter. He won’t allow anybody to talk about Hailie without retaliating badly.
The chorus of “Quitter” sounds like a real threat towards Everlast:
“Quitter and you bitter cuz I came along
And your days of house of pain are gone
If you talk about my little girl in a song again
I’ma kill you (I’ma kill you)…”
Eminem even goes that far to encourage his fans to beat his rival up:
“Aiight look…
So this is what we ask of our fans
If you ever see Everlast, whoop his ass
Hit him with sticks, bricks, rocks, throw shit at him
Kick him, spit on him, treat him like a hoe, bitchslap him
Do it for me, do it for Fred, do it for Limp
Do it for Rock, do it for Rap, do it for Ken
Do it for Ice T, do it just to do it, FUCK IT
He’s a bitch, he ain’t gonna hit you back, he’s nothin
Shit, in five years, we’re all gonna be eating at Whitey’s
And he’ll be busin tables in that bitch, cleaning the toilets…”
But the whole song also reveals Eric Shrody’s bitterness and his jealousy.
On February the 2nd, 2001, Everlast did a public show at St Andrews Hall in Detroit where he publicly dissed Eminem. The show ended violently. Suddenly some participants threw bottles and chairs on stage and some other men wearing D12 Tshirts entered the concert hall and asked the crowd:
“Are you going to let this motherfucker come to Detroit and disrespect Eminem?”
Three people were injured and sent to the hospital. During the show, Everlast called Eminem “a fucking midget", criticized D12 and challenged the participants from Eminem’s camp:
“The mic is open if there’s someone from Eminem’s camp who’s here. “Didn’t think so.”
People from Eminem’s camp were trying to take over security and were approaching the scene. Everlast took his guitar as a self defense weapon and one of the assaillants took the microphone, addressing to the crowd, until the power was cut. As a consequence, Everlast had to leave the show.
The lyrical battles that opposed Eminem and Everlast could have ended tragically. As far as I am concerned, “personals” are not the most interesting side of a lyrical battle. But that’s usually the way his rivals are trying to get at Eminem.
If you ask me, attacking a rapper by dissing his family members is rather a sign of weakness and it shows his incapacity to harm his enemy lyrically by other means. It also shows a cowardly manner to battle one’s opponent. Look at your rival’s own weaknesses, but why diss his family members?
